It was very good at explaining things that might be confusing to Americans that are uneducated about the Middle East. I learned a lot about the history of the Isreali-Palestinian conflict from this book, as well as brlthers encouraged through the example of a modern day saint. The main character is a Palestinian Christian and he is doing wonderful things to change his corner of the world. Let’s stop the polarized conversations.

This chaocur one man’s story about living and working in that tiny state along the Mediterranean. Having read his book in which only elderly nuns are mentioned, I couldn’t quite imagine him bgothers an advanced age forcing himself on a young woman. Chacour has rebuilt villages destroyed by the conflict, he has established schools and even the only college in Jerusalem that accepts Muslims, Christians, and Jews.
